# Put on disposable nitrile gloves
# Confirm with the site manager the quantity of bottles to be filled (''BotQty'')
# Ensure that there are at least ''BotQty'' bottles sterilised and ready to be used at the bottling station
# Check with the site manager that the system can be set to "Bottling Mode"
# If given approval, set the system to "Bottling Mode"
# Prepare a tray with a fresh sheet of kitchen paper. Place the tray to the right of the filling station
# Place a bottle under the filling spout and press the "Fill button"
# When the flow stops, remove the bottle, place it on the tray prepared in (7)
# When the tray is full, pass it along to the labelling station. Then repeat from (7) until all bottles have been filled

# Take a filled bottled in one hand and push a cap down until a click is heard
# Install the carrier onto the wash system.
# While pushing the cap towards the bottom of the bottle, twist the cap clockwise until it is tight
# Double check that 24 bottles are in place.
# Lay the bottle flat and peel a product label from the roll
# Turn on the system at the wall switch.
# Align the label as shown during training (See: [[Product Labeling Training|Product Labelling Training]])
# Start a timer for 3 minutes.
# Smooth the label around the bottle
# Once the timer has completed, turn the system off at the wall switch.
# Make a visual check that the two end of the label are at equal heights
# Allow the bottles to drain for a minute or so.
# Peel a batch sticker from the sheet
# Remove the carrier and place on the draining area to the left of the sink bowl.
# Invert the bottle and locate the sticker in the centre of the bottom of the bottle
# Shake the carrier to remove drops from inside bottles.
# Pass the bottle to the packaging station
# Allow the bottles to continue to drain until they are dry.
# Repeat from (1) until all bottles capped and labelled

Procedure

The following is the process for bottling product.

Do not carry out this procedure if you have not completed the HuNu Training for this task.

Bottling

  1. Wash hands (See Effective Hand Washing Technique)
  2. Put on disposable nitrile gloves
  3. Confirm with the site manager the quantity of bottles to be filled (BotQty)
  4. Ensure that there are at least BotQty bottles sterilised and ready to be used at the bottling station
  5. Check with the site manager that the system can be set to "Bottling Mode"
  6. If given approval, set the system to "Bottling Mode"
  7. Prepare a tray with a fresh sheet of kitchen paper. Place the tray to the right of the filling station
  8. Place a bottle under the filling spout and press the "Fill button"
  9. When the flow stops, remove the bottle, place it on the tray prepared in (7)
  10. When the tray is full, pass it along to the labelling station. Then repeat from (7) until all bottles have been filled
  11. Return the system to "Production Mode"
  12. Remove & clean the filling spout

Capping & Labelling

  1. Take a filled bottled in one hand and push a cap down until a click is heard
  2. While pushing the cap towards the bottom of the bottle, twist the cap clockwise until it is tight
  3. Lay the bottle flat and peel a product label from the roll
  4. Align the label as shown during training (See: Product Labelling Training)
  5. Smooth the label around the bottle
  6. Make a visual check that the two end of the label are at equal heights
  7. Peel a batch sticker from the sheet
  8. Invert the bottle and locate the sticker in the centre of the bottom of the bottle
  9. Pass the bottle to the packaging station
  10. Repeat from (1) until all bottles capped and labelled
